15 MiG 29Ks and 15 LCA Tejas will be on future aircraft carrier INS Vikrant

Indian Navy is going to deploy Russian made Fourth generation, carrier based fighter, MiG 29K/KUB and home grown, indigenous HAL Tejas on future aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. 

Total 15 examples of each total 30 fixed wing aircrafts and some 10 rotary aircrafts like Russian made Kamov Ka 31 ASW aircraft, British made Sea King and indigenous HAL Dhruv helicopters.

                                                        Mig 29K

INS Vikrant is the Vikrant class, 44,000 ton aircraft carrier can carry 40 aircrafts which was lay down from 2013 and going to commissioned on 2018. 


                                                                    NLCA

The aircraft carrier will be second after INS Vikramaditya and 4 th carrier to be inducted to Indian Navy. The construction of carrier is almost completed and under sea trial.
