INS Kolkatta, Kochi and Chennai~the Mighty 3 stealth destroyers of INDIA are more than enough to wipe out the entire Pak Navy

INS Chennai, INS Kolkatta and INS Kochi are Guided Missile Destroyers which are the most sophisticated warships the Indian Navy boasts under Project 15A of the Indian Navy. The commissioning of INS Chennai marks the end of the Project 15A to build Kolkata-class guided missile destroyers for the country.

The Navy is on its way to become a 200-Warship Force with around 600 Aircraft and Helicopters by 2027.

All three warships of the Kolkatta Class are capable of undertaking a variety of tasks and missions, spanning the full spectrum of maritime warfare. Armed with supersonic surface to surface `BrahMos` missiles and `Barak-8` long range surface to air missiles, the ship possesses formidable prowess of missile technology.

The undersea warfare capable boasts of indigenously developed anti-submarine weapons and sensors, prominently the Hull Mounted Sonar `HUMSA-NG`, Heavyweight Torpedo Tube Launchers, Rocket Launchers and Towed Arrau sonar capability.

For defence against enemy missiles, the ships are fitted with `Kavach` chaff decoy system and for defence against enemy torpedoes, it is fitted with `Mareech` torpedo decoy system, both developed indigenously in India. The ship is designed to carry and operate up to two multi-role helicopters.

The ships are propelled by a powerful Combined Gas and Gas (COGAG) propulsion plant, consisting of four reversible gas turbines, which enables then to achieve a top speed of over 30 knots (approximately 55 km per hour).

All three warship boasts of a very high level of automation with sophisticated digital networks such as ATM-based integrated Ship Data Network (AISDN), Combat Management System (CMS), Automatic Power Management System (APMS) and Auxilliary Control System (ACS).

All Kolkata-class destroyers, are actually an improved version of the Delhi-class of warships. The INS Chennai and other guided missile destroyers under Project 15A help the Indian Navy and the country achieve unmatched technological and weapons superiority over the entire Pak Navy.

Their stealth design makes them difficult for Pakistani warships and submarines to detect them and hence gives the Indian Navy the first oppurtunity to track, lock and fire missiles. The Brahmos Supersonic Missiles are the world's fastest Cruise Missile and the Pak Navy has absolutely no defence against a weapon that is travelling at three times the speed of sound.

The number of offensive and defensive missiles the INS Chennai, Kolkatta and Kochi carry combined are more than enough to destroy the entire Pakistani Navy 5 times over.
